For 70 years we have delivered for our customers
We have a long and distinguished history. Founded in 1954, and floated on the UK Stock Market in 1973 as Vibroplant plc. In 2000, we exited the core general plant hire business to focus on value added, specialist rental activities and changed our name to Vp plc.

- Acquisition of Charleville Hire & Plant (CPH)

- Appointment of Anna Bielby as Chief Executive to lead our business through the next chapter in our journey

- Acquisition M&S Hire

- Acquired Brandon Hire, a major UK-wide tool hire company
2016
- Acquired TR Pty Ltd, a market leading specialist provider of test and measurement equipment, both rental and calibration services, in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia

- Our 60th anniversary

- Geographical expansion of our business - Airpac (global), Groundforce (Ireland and mainland Europe) and TPA (Germany)

- 2007 - MEP acquired
- 2001 - Renamed from Vibroplant to VP plc
1990s
- Further growth - acquisition of Groundforce, more than doubling the size of the trench shoring business and acquisitions in the tool hire and rail sectors

- A period of rapid growth

- 1973 - Floated on the London Stock Exchange as Vibroplant plc
1960s
- The Vibroplant name and V logo was adopted for the first time
- The company reaped the benefits of Britain’s road building programme in the 1960s
